Spotlight: cloud-init IPv6 Support for EC2

Chad Smith, a cloud-init team member, wrote up a post on the automatic configuration of IPv6 on EC2 instances. He details the steps required to add in the support and some additional improvements that could be made.

cloud-init

  • Released stable release update (SRU) of 17.1-27-geb292c18 (LP: #1721847)
  • Cleanup dhclient background process after EC2 network discovery.
  • ntp: fix configuration template rendering for openSUSE and SLES (Robert Schweikert) LP: #1726572
  • fix manually running cloud-init after upgrade (LP: #1732917)
