Managed Cloud Network Security from Zentera, Alliance and Canonical

Zentera Systems, Inc., Alliance Technology Group and Canonical jointly announced today a collaboration to deliver secure hybrid networking solutions on top of Canonical’s managed OpenStack cloud, BootStack. The three companies will be exhibiting this collaboration during AWS re:Invent 2015, this week at Zentera’s booth #K21 in Las Vegas, NV. re:Invent is the Amazon Web Services global user conference that showcases the cloud ecosystem.

“This collaboration offers our customers a new platform to connect, secure, and control their cloud networks at a pace that was previously impossible,” commented Chris Williams, VP IPA/OpenStack Group of Alliance, “We are pleased to integrate CoIP with BootStack for our Fortune 100 customer base.”

In the collaboration, Zentera provides the networking layer with its CoIP™ platform that enables multiple types of sophisticated overlay networks over existing network infrastructure. According to Dr. Jaushin Lee, CEO of Zentera Systems, “Zentera brings to this revolutionary offering a next-generation network security fabric for fast, secure and straightforward cloud ecosystem solutions in hours or days, not weeks or months.”

BootStack is the managed OpenStack cloud offering from Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu. BootStack is a true end-to-end offer including the design, implementation, and ongoing management of an OpenStack cloud on Ubuntu, followed by an optional transfer of the management function to the customer.

The cloud will be built on Ubuntu OpenStack, the world’s most popular OpenStack distribution, and industry-leading tools that allow quick and easy provisioning, orchestration, and management of cloud resources.

Arturo Suarez, BootStack’s Product Manager at Canonical, said, “The simplified secure cloud and hybrid networking offered by this collaboration builds on Canonical’s BootStack promises to deliver enterprise OpenStack projects on time and on budget.”
