RISC-V Summit is an annual conference that showcases the power that open collaboration can have on the processor industry. This year, the event is taking place in San Francisco and virtually on December 6-8th and is co-located with the Design Automation Conference and SEMICON West.
Canonical is a proud bronze sponsor of the RISC-V Summit. Make sure to visit our physical or virtual booth for engaging conversations on the power of open source technology!
Why should you attend the RISC-V Summit?
The RISC-V free and open ISA has become a game-changer in the semiconductor industry and a showcase of how open-source technology can break down industry barriers. Current market trends show that the technology is on the rise with sources from Semico Research claiming that the compound annual growth rate for RISC-V cores between 2020 and 2025 will approach 115%. This is also reflected in the interest in the RISC-V Foundation, the non-profit organization that brings together institutions taking an active role in building the RISC-V ecosystem. Since being founded in 2015, the institution has grown to over 2000 members in 70 countries. If you’re interested in this rapidly changing ecosystem and want to learn more about the latest advancements, RISC-V Summit is the place to be this December.
Meet the team
While at the conference, make sure to come to say hi to our team at the Ubuntu booth and discover:
- Details about the availability of Ubuntu on RISC-V
- A live demo of Ubuntu Desktop running on the SiFive’s HiFive Unmatched boards
- Insights into how you can combine RISC V open-source hardware and Ubuntu open-source software to build any project from within the car to within the cloud.
You will also get access to relevant free resources and have the option of discussing your specific needs with members of our engineering team.
We hope to see you there!
